Miss Nuttall's Christmas Program
This season is filled with such joyous events and activities and we enjoyed sharing some poems, songs, and stories with you that illustrate this wonderful holiday season.
Thank you for coming to our program, we hope you enjoyed the show. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!
District Reflections Award
Canyon Elementary students won Reflections awards at the district level. Receiving an Award of Excellence were Caroline Riding in Film Production and Joshua Banz for Music Composition. These two students will move on to the region competition.
In addition, an Award of Merit was given to Johnny Covey for Literature, Sophie Jennings for Photography and Alyssa Wessman for Visual Art. We are proud of them and all of the students that participated in the Reflections program.
Second Grade Christmas Books
Students in second have been very busy learning about adjectives and sentence writing as they create their “ABC’s of Christmas “ book for this years parent gift . We are certain their work ethic is equal if not better than any Santa’s Elves.
Christmas Lights Art
The 3rd graders in Miss Nuttall's class are shining bright this season. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Walk More in Four Award
Tyler Orten, in Mrs. Cook’s fourth grade, received the UDOT “Walk More in Four” award. Each September UDOT sponsors a program to encourage students to safely walk or bike to school at least three days a week for four weeks. Canyon students voluntarily participated and entered the contest. This year Canyon had more students participate than in previous years. As one of the state winners, Tyler received a new razor scooter and helmet. Way to go Tyler!
