Reindeer Party

Submitted by kalani.reed on

Our class had a reindeer party. We figured out what our own reindeer names were and decorated some antlers for us to wear. We ate reindeer food (doughnut holes), sang Rudolph, and adopted a tiny stuffed reindeer! It was "SNOW" much fun!

Santa Visits Canyon Elementary

Submitted by kalani.reed on

Santa made a special visit during our Holiday Assembly today. Santa told jokes, answered questions, danced, sang, and gave students and teachers a treat! Thanks Santa!

Students were able to sing songs and watch Jib-Jabs. To end the assembly, students participated in an Ugly Sweater fashion show. We hope everyone has a wonderful Winter Break.

Sixth Grade Gift Exchange

Submitted by kalani.reed on

Each 6th grader chose another 6th grader's name from a hat. They had about 12 days to find a $5 gift or less for this person. 95 students gave and 95 students received.  A fun, joyful memorable day!

What, No Santa?

Submitted by kalani.reed on

What, No Santa?  Was performed by Mrs. Perkins 6th grade class for parents and the first graders.  Each of the three casts came together as elves, Mrs. Claus, and Santa to solve the problem of Christmas when Santa is just too sick to go. The elves comforted a hesitant Santa in the end as Mrs. Claus decided to take over Santa’s job making sure every boy and girl was visited on Christmas Eve.

Fourth Grade Goes to BYU Game

Submitted by kalani.reed on

We were lucky enough to go on a field trip to a BYU Women's Basketball game last month!  The students loved cheering on the Cougars.  Our friend Morgan from the cheer team was nice enough to throw us a few t-shirts and come take some pictures with us.  It was such a fun day!

Mr. Harlan Reads to Students

Submitted by kalani.reed on

This is what it looks like when the principal still believes in stopping by and reading to students. How lucky are we to have an incredible principal who thinks that books are an important part of education! Mr. Harlan read us the story When It Snows and he will be donating this wonderful book to our school library.

Thank you, Mr. Harlan, for showing my class that they are important to you.
