The sixth grade students are learning about the planets and our solar system. In these picture it shows a project that they did outside with chalk to measure the distance between the planets. First, they all got a paper listing the measurements of how far apart all of the planets are from each other. The measurements were scaled down to what it would be like in centimeters and inches. With chalk they got to draw a line with points showing where the different planets would be. It was not only fun to be outside and play with chalk but, it was a great learning experience!
