Our 5th grade classes have been doing the D.A.R.E program with Spanish Fork City Police officer, Officer Beddoes.
Officer Beddoes invited Officer Grover, and his dog, Lord, to come and do a presentation for the 5th graders.
Lord is a Belgian Malinois from Germany. He is a very smart, hardworking dog, that is mostly used to find drugs. His owner, Officer Grover did some demonstrations to show how good Lord is at finding things by smell.
Then Officer Beddoes got in a special suit, and Lord followed instructions from his owner, and seized Officer Beddoes, thinking he was a bad guy.
The students will continue learning throughout the D.A.R.E. program weekly from Officer Beddoes, and how to stay away from drugs.
