Keyboarding champions

Submitted by julie.peery on

4th and 5th grade students had the chance to learn and review keyboarding skills this year from the district Keyboarding specialist, Ms. Jen Teemont. The students who were in the top 10% with speed and accuracy were invited to compete in the district competition (pictured here). These students each got a prize and certificate.  Natalia Serafini (4th grade) and in Taylani Reid (5th grade) received the "golden keyboard" award for being the fastest keyboarders in our school.  Congrats to everyone!

Celebrating Earth Day

Submitted by julie.peery on

Our student council wanted to raise awareness of Earth Day and taking care of our environment and our school. They created a fun mural and had students sign it to commit to helping keep our school grounds clean. Thanks Student Council (as well as Ms. Larsen and Ms. Beckham for being student council advisors).

Choir concert celebrates Broadway

Our 4th/5th grade choir students had the chance to showcase what they have learned this Spring during a concert this week. The choir, along with small groups and individuals, sang songs from popular Broadway shows. We appreciate the time and effort Ms. Hutchings has put in this year to help students enjoy singing and discover and share their talents.

Ms. Green, our awesome custodian, was recently awarded the Region 10 PTA Service Award for Outstanding Support Staff. Ms. Green not only takes special care of the inside and outside of our school, but also the teachers, PTA, and students. She adds an element of fun and positivity to the lunchroom, the hallways and each interaction she has with students. Thanks for all you do Ms. Green!
