TWO's day at Canyon was a blast. Kids were invited to wear tutu's, ties, and tie dye to school on 2/22/2022. At 2:22 the whole school had a two minute dance party to some "two songs" in our halls.
Our school counselor and school custodian had a great TWOsday yesterday! We are so grateful for all that Miss Beckham and Miss Green do for our school.

For the past few weeks the students at Canyon Elementary have been competing in a Winter Olympics during PE.
Mrs. Allen has created teams and events such as the Torch Relay, Speed Skating, Bobsledding and Figure Skating for all the students to participate in. Such a fun few weeks that our students had in PE.
Is there anything better than delicious Math manipulatives to help us understand Perimeter (pretzels) and Area (cheese its). Miss Nuttall’s class is really loving participating in math this week.
Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, February 21 for President's day and Monday, February 28 for a Teacher planning day. Have a safe a fun holiday weekend.
Happy Valentine’s Day from your lunch ladies and your custodian!
Mrs. Olson’s class had a special treat during music this week. Mana shared two Tongan dances with his class. He even wore traditional clothing during his performance. It was so much fun to experience a different culture through music and dance. Thank you Mana!
Congratulations to our fifth grade students who participated in the Nebo District Elementary Science fair yesterday. There were a variety of well-thought out projects in the categories of chemistry, life science, earth and environmental science and consumer and product testing. Each student or group of students from Canyon decided on a problem or question and planned their science fair project about solving or answering their question. Each of our participants qualified to go on to the regional science fair contest held at BYU. Way to go the extra mile students!
