Canyon PTA members planned a week of fun activities for Health and Safety Week Sept.
Mrs. Money's kindergarten students invited Mr. Harlan to bring his dog, Gimley, for show-n-tell. Mr. Harlan told the students that Gimley's favorite doggie treat is cheese and that his daughters used cheese to train Gimley to do tricks. The boys and girls loved watching Gimley roll over, shake hands and bark 3 times.
Canyon Elementary's student body met outside by the flag pole Friday, Sept. 9, for a flag ceremony in remembrance of 9/11. Cub Scouts presented the flag and students recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Then everyone sang The Star Spangled Banner and I'm Proud To Be An American.
Pictured are Scouts who presented flag: Topher Riding, Kaden Holt, Austin Burnham, Keaton Johnson, Grant Johnson, Patrick Blood, Ryan Cobb and Matthew Leavitt.
Nebo Superintendent, Rick Nielsen, stopped in Canyon Elementary to wish Mrs. Menlove's new kindergarten students well on their first day of school and to read them a story about kindergartners sharing everything.
