Mountain Man Rendezvous

Submitted by andria.lewis on

4th grade had their annual Mountain Man Rendezvous after learning about the ways of Mountain men and women. Some kids (and teachers) dressed up, parents helped with games, they ate fry bread, and bartered with pellets. All had a great time!

Submitted by andria.lewis on

Our 5th grade classes have been doing the D.A.R.E program with Spanish Fork City Police officer, Officer Beddoes.

Officer Beddoes invited Officer Grover, and his dog, Lord, to come and do a presentation for the 5th graders.

Lord is a Belgian Malinois from Germany. He is a very smart, hardworking dog, that is mostly used to find drugs. His owner, Officer Grover did some demonstrations to show how good Lord is at finding things by smell.

Musician Brings Anti-Bullying Message

Submitted by andria.lewis on

Eric Dodge, a country vocalist, visited Canyon Elementary this week, and focused his comments on being kind to others, and not bullying. He passed out black wrist bands to some students imprinted with the slogan "Why Not Today" as a motto for each student to begin "today" making their own life more positive, as well as the lives of people around them.
