Fourth Grade Program

The fourth grade did an awesome program.  It was called “The Incredible Westward Movement.”  We had a lot of songs to sing. Some songs had dancing in them, and they all had acting in them.  One song was called “Let’s Go to France” about the Louisiana Purchase, and at the end of that song we got to throw money then we chased a kid named Adney off the stage. The songs were about a lot of things: pioneer wagons, moving west, Daniel Boone, the Gold Rush, Sodbusters, the Trail of Tears, and Lewis and Clark. One of our last songs was called “The Golden Spike.”  At one part of the song the Central Pacific threw dynamite at Mrs. Perkins (it was fake dynamite). We also sang the state song, Utah. At the end of the program we did the Virginia Reel.  We got to do it with our parents.  It was a fun program.
