The 6th graders at Canyon have been studying ancient Europe, including ancient Greece. The teachers organized a fun activity and divided the students into six city-states. They then competed in a modern day Olympic competition.

The events included Discus throw, three-legged race, free-throw contest, scooter board races, long jump, and paper plate ice skating.

The winning city-states with the most points were:    Bronze: Magara       Silver: Olympia        Gold: Corinth

Thanks to all the many dads and moms that volunteerd at this fun event. This was an activity that the stuents had to earn, and this was the very first year that every 6th grader was able to participate in the games! Great job 6th students!
