Greetings! My name is David Harlan Principal of Canyon Elementary home of the Cougar Cubs. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the web portal for Canyon Elementary. Our theme is "Making Our Tracks" I invite you to follow some of our tracks:

Our Vision is to focus on 4 essential questions: What do we want our students to learn? How will we know what students have learned? How do we respond when students are not learning? How do we respond to students who already know?

We are located in the town of Spanish Fork, Utah with an enrollment of 730 students Kindergarten through Sixth Grade

We have a very active and supportive community and PTA. Canyon has the largest percentage of parents join the PTA in the Nebo District.  There is a rich and well established culture of parent involvement and volunteers in our school. We invite you to get involved in our school, classrooms, PTA, and School Community Council.

I'm pleased to announce that Canyon achieved Adequate Yearly Progress in every category as well as met all standards in the Utah Performance Assessment System for Students (U-PASS) this last year. We believe that through our collaboration and work in Professional Learning Communities we will continue to focus on student learning and achieve higher results.

We have well trained and experienced staff. This year alone we will have over 250 hrs of professional development and 300 yrs of combined experience.
