Congratulations to this month's 6th grade super students!
The last day of school before Christmas Break is always an exciting day. This year was no different. It started out with an assembly. Winners of several contests were announced including the teacher's Ugly Sweater Contest, Gingerbread House competition and fiinally winners were drawn from a box to see who would take those Gingerbread Houses home. A sing-along with the school choir was enjoyed by all as well as "Jib-Jabs". The rest of the day was filled with finishing projects, class parties (thanks room moms) and even a service project or two.
Oh no! A Christmas without Santa would be awful, but don't worry. In a play by Mrs. Perkin's fourth graders, we learned that Mrs. Claus is perfectly capable of filling in if necessary! Thanks to all the performers.
Our third graders were busy as elves. They were making Gingerbread Houses. We have some fantastic future architects on our hands, if their finished products were any indication!
Christmas Carols are wonderful, and they're even better when performed by third graders. Thank you Miss Nuttall's class for bringing the Spirt of Christmas into our lives.
The Kindergarten students recently received letters straight from the North Pole. They had written letters earlier and were excited to receive these letters in return. Their sixth grade buddies were on hand to help them read the letters. Reading Buddies are the best!
Are you missing any coats, mittens, hats or lunch boxes? The "Lost and Found" items have been placed on tables in the center hall. It's great to hear, "Oh yeah! Here's my coat!" Come take a look if your lost item has been "lost" and is waiting to be "found".
