Canyon third grade students have been earning play money from their teachers for the month of May. They could earn play dollars by turning in their homework on time, walking in the halls, following directions and working quietly in class, etc. They also lost money and had to give some of their play dollars back to their teachers if they were not following the class rules. As a culminating activity, students got to set up their own businesses and they could buy and sell their goods with the play money they had earned. Some of the businesses the students came up with were nail painting, drum playing, minute-to-win-it games, karate lessons, and hair bow making.
