Have you ever heard of learning to write through dance?  If you were at Canyon Elementary today, that's exactly what happened.  The BYU Kinnect Dance group came to school today.  The students enjoyed breakout sessions until 1:00.  After that the whole school assembled and learned about parts of a story through dance.  It was enjoyed by everyone!

School lunch is so exciting when you are in kindergarten! Today was the much anticipated day when they got to have school lunch in preparation for next year.  Pizza was on the menu, yum!  The "future first graders" all enjoyed their first lunch at school.

2017 Summer Reading Program

May 22^nd-August 5^th

The library is excited to invite readers of all ages to participate in one of our summer reading programs. 

From toddlers to adults, we have something for everyone! 

This is a great way to keep brains active, engaged, improve reading skills, encourage family time,

Our Orchestra recently performed for the 5th and 6th graders.  It's hard to believe that they couldn't play at all at the beginning of the year.  The concert was amazing!  Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Recently the sixth graders went on a mission to space.  They went to the Space Center in Lehi and participated in a mission to save the children of Perikoi.  If you want to know how it turned out, ask a sixth grader.

And the winner of the Classified Employee of the Year for Canyon Elementary is........(drumroll please).......MRS. CHOWDARY!  Canyon Elementary is indeed lucky to have such a great secretary!

Canyon School has by far the best principal in the world.  Mr. Harlan truly cares about each of us here at Canyon Elementary.  We are so lucky!
