To celebrate literacy month, Canyon held their annual Parents and Pastries event! Students got a doughnut and some milk, and read books with their parents.

It was fun to see all the moms and dads come out and read with their students! Keep up the awesome reading everyone!

A note from the district:

The Nebo School District is celebrating National School Breakfast Week March 3-March 7. The 2014 theme for this annual event is "Take Time for School Breakfast". On Monday, Mayor Steve Leifson will join the students at Rees Elementary for breakfast and read the official proclamation to open the week's events.

Mountain Man Rendezvous

4th grade held their annual Mountain Man Rendezvous!

They had fun dressing up, playing games, eating fry bread, and each of them had their own trading post of items they made or brought from home.

There were also a lot of parent helpers, so thank you all for your help!

100 Day!

On Friday, students celebrated the 100th day of school by doing projects and activites pertaining to the number 100.

Some activities included:

Making a 100-item art project at home (pictured)

Making and wearing 100 shaped glasses

Making a necklace with 100 fruit loops

Getting up and moving with 100 jumping jacks, 100 steps, and more!

Happy 100th day of school to Canyon!
